BWPPA RANKING SYSTEM AND EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS SELECTION CRITERIA
The BWPPA operates a rolling ranking system using the last 8 BWPPA events. A player's ranking is calculated using their best 7 results from the last 8 BWPPA events. The ranking points will be used for selection of Team Great Britain for the European Championship or any other event requiring national team representation at an international level. SELECTION FOR EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS. Players require a transparent, fair and firm target for qualification, considering this the selection for the GB Team will take place after the first event of each season (usually November/December event). The BWPPA are usually awarded 4 places by the EPBF at the European Pool Championships. The highest 3 ranked players will qualify automatically for the GB Team. There will also be one wildcard member of the team. This member will be selected after winning a qualification tournament held directly after the first event of the season on the Sunday afternoon.
The BWPPA on occasions are awarded extra places at the European Championships, these do not include places awarded for previous year winners.
