BWPPA Tour Format
PLEASE
NOTE: Any player who is not ready to play at their scheduled
match time will have a one rack deduction and another rack
deducted at 5 minutes late and another at 10 minutes late,
if the player is not at the table ready to play 15 minutes
after their scheduled match time they will forfeit the
match. Players are advised to arrive 30 minutes before a
match.
After a
vote by the membership on October 2009 it was decided to
return to one double elimination event held over the
Saturday and Sunday. But the committee also decided to
continue with a re-formatted challenge trophy for players
eliminated from the main event at an early stage.

The draw
will be made by the committee before the start of each event
at the players meeting on Saturday at 10.30.
Entrance
for each event will be £25 plus a one-off compulsory
membership of £10 per season payable at first event
attended.
Players
who are ranked in the top 8 entrance fee will be £40 plus
£10 membership at first event.
Players
who are attending a BWPPA event for the first time will only
need to pay the £10 membership as their first event entry is
free.
All
entrance fees will be pay on the day of the event.
Main
Event
Will
start on the Saturday after the registration and players
meeting at 10.30am. The quarter finals will be held on the
Sunday at 10.30 am and the semi final will be held on the
Sunday at 12.30 pm and the final will be held on the Sunday
at 2.30 pm.
Main
Event will be double elimination until the semi-final stage.
All races
in the winners side will be to 7 racks
All races
in the one loss side will be 7 racks
The top 8
ranked players being seeded.
Quarter
finalists will not be redrawn to maintain the seeding
system.
Winner
breaks and players must lag for first break. (Tapped tables
alternate break format)
The Main
Event rankings will be updated after each event and the
number one ranked player will be known at the UK Number One
Wheelchair Player as long as they remain at the Number One
position.
The
rankings in both the Main and Challenge-Cup will be
calculated using the players best 4 events out of the last 5
events.
After the
last 2010 event the highest 8 ranked players will receive a
prize from one of our sponsors. There will be 8 prizes
with a total retail value of around £3000 - £3500.
Challenge-Cup (plate event)
Challenge-Cup will be held on the Sunday at 11am.
Only
players who did not qualify for the second day of the main
event will be eligible to play in the in the Challenge Cup.
There will be a £5 entrance fee to enter this event payable
on the Sunday.
Challenge-Cup will be direct elimination and races to 5
racks in all rounds.
Top 2
players will be seeded.
Winner
breaks and players must lag for first break. (Tapped tables

The
Challenge cup will attract ranking points for the winner,
finalist and semi finalists this is on top of what each
player already earned in the main event.. All ranking
points earned in the Challenge-Cup will also be added to
each players main rankings as well as the separate
Challenge-Cup rankings.
Winner
7 ranking points.
Finalist
6 ranking points.
Semi
finalist 5 ranking points.
Also at
the end of the season the player with the most points earned
in the Challenge event rankings will be offered a cue
from Poison Cues worth in excess of £300, more prizes for
the 2nd and 3rd ranked Challenge-Cup
players may also be available.
PRIZE FUND at each event.
Main
Event and Challenge-Cup will have a pot of £520 shared prize
money at each tournament weekend (based on 16 players).
