Favourite World Pro Pool Players
– I know he's a snooker player but my favourite is Steve Davis, I
also like the Philippine players, Bustamante being the pick of a
class bunch. On the women's tour I like Jasmin Ouschan.
When and why you started playing pool - Heard of a
tournament in Michigan in 1995/96. Never played before,
didn't know the rules but did ok. Few years later there was a
Euro tour and now we have a British tour.
How often do you practice – I never seem to find the time, I
would like to practice 4/5 times a week but at the moment I'm lucky
if I play that much a month.
How do you practice – Mostly on my own, this can be boring if
your not in the right mood. If anyone knows of some good drills
please pass them on. I think this would be a better way to practice.
The biggest thing you have learned in pool – It's not as easy
as it looks.
Your pool career ambition - World Champion would be nice if
all the best players were there. Sounds silly but I have played in
many tournaments that are harder to win than the world championships
to me it would be a shallow victory if it wasn't a true test. Apart
from that I'll take what ever comes along, I still want to win
tournaments but want to enjoy playing more.
Your biggest pool achievement –
Ooh that's a hard one. All the tournaments I have won mean something
special. The biggest win in Europe would have to be the European
championships 8 Ball in 2001 and 2007.
Best tournament you've played in – Japan Open 2004. Taka
helped to organise this tournament and I hope he will do the same
again soon. It was a great tournament for me because I was the
winner but also because we had the wheelchair players the women
players and the professionals players all playing at the same time
in the same venue
Your best pool moment – Winning the two tournaments mentioned
above also winning the American Nationals1997, US Open 2000,
Olhausen doubles 2000, the Olhausen team event being captain of
Europe and beating the Americans three times. THOSE WERE THE GOOD
OLD DAYS.
Hobbies – The one's I can mention, horse racing, football
(Man U), Poker, 8ball, films, music, eating and DEAL OR NO DEAL!!!
Superstitions – Don't talk to me when the horse racing is on.
What motivates you -
Wanting to win more Tournaments.
